Since 2000, KFMA has put together some of the biggest shows in the country, also setting records for attendance with it's prize show KFMADAY. It's almost a guarantee you'll see bands you wouldn't ordinarily get the chance to see, and always at an affordable price. Not only the largest KFMADAY in history, it also holds the record for largest outdoor concert in Southern Arizona with an estimated 30,000 attendees. A record previously held by Fleetwod Mac in the late 70's. The 2nd show in only 3 US tour dates before the release of their album Death Magnetic, KFMADAY '08 was a sought after show globally.

Chris Cornell, Chevelle, Sum 41, The Bravery, The Used was originally scheduled to headline the show, until the day of, doctors wouldn't clear lead singer Burt McCracken to sing after discovering a node developing on his vocal chords. Chris Cornell extended his set, including hits from not only his solo work but Audioslave and Soundgarden. |

311, Staind, Stabbing Westward, Saliva, Cold, The first unveiling of the new KFMA logo was at KFMADAY 2. The logo is very similar to the logo still used today. Another launch was the broadcasting of 101.3 as a second frequency for the station. This first appearance of SUM 41 at KFMADAY. They still hold the record for most KFMADAY appearances with 4, including headling in 2005. |
